To mark the closing of the exhibition The Next Earth. Computation, Crisis, Cosmology, Palazzo Diedo is pleased to host the screening of the documentary György Kepes: Interthinking Art + Science.

Orosz’s film celebrates the legacy György Kepes, the visionary founder of the so-called “Bauhaus of MIT.” A painter turned designer and polymath, who championed “interthinking”—the collaborative effort of artists and scientists working together on shared projects to expand the boundaries of human perception and to foster ecological awareness.  The film embarks on a thrilling exploration of the origins of new media art through a question that feels more urgent than ever: “Can technology be used to protect us from technology itself?”
